About the Author, Mark J. Layne...

Picture
Born a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Mark currently resides in suburban Chicago with several females: two of whom incessantly ask him for money, one with four legs, and another who insists she's his wife.

Since graduating from college with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Mark has done little to justify the expense of his college education.

Subsequent to a two years stint developing advertising copy and promotional materials for an industrial line of telecommunications products, Mark abandoned the corporate world for the life of an entrepreneur.

Always more interested in his creative pursuits than doing any actual work, however, Mark devotes his uncommitted time to penning novels, screenplays, and other folderol that no one but his pathetic, nearly mad wife has ever read, and just about anything else folks will hire him to put to page.

Thanks to the internet and this website, Mark now has a means by which to foist his accumulation of nonsense upon an unsuspecting world. (Mark intends to donate 30% of all revenue generated by his work to charity, devoting the balance to the construction of a spaceship capable of carrying Mark, his family, and three closest friends to the far reaches of Canada.)

Though a fickle and unforgiving industry, Mark is committed to making a career in writing and filmmaking.  As such, he approaches his artistic endeavors with a businessman’s eye toward revenue and profitability, yet leaving plenty of room for fun.
